Telangana bags clean energy projects worth 29,000 INR-Crore

Telangana has secured investments worth an estimated 29,000 INR-Crore under the newly launched Telangana Clean and Green Energy Policy 2025. Two major players, Ecoren Energy India Pvt Ltd and GPSR Arya Pvt Ltd, have committed to this green mission. 

Ecoren Energy will invest an estimated 27,000 INR-Crore to develop several wind and solar power projects. These projects will slash around 400 Million Tonnes of carbon emissions over the next 25 years. Additionally, it will generate close to 16,200 jobs within local communities. The company has planned three grand-scale ventures: 

  • a 3279MW wind-solar hybrid across Sangareddy and Narayanpet, 
  • a 1650MWp floating solar plant across seven sites in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and 
  • a 650MWp ground-mounted solar setup in Jogulamba Gadwal.

Meanwhile, GPSR Arya Pvt Ltd will invest around 2,000 INR-Crore to establish 15 compressed biogas (CBG) plants, each with a 15 tonnes per day capacity. These will be developed through joint ventures with IOC and BPCL. These new clean energy projects in Telangana bring in massive capital and also strengthens the state’s commitment to a sustainable and cleaner tomorrow.
