As of July 2022, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has floated a tender for the selection of a Private Developer for the NH-544D widening project.
Construction Activities and Timeline
The NH-544D connects Anantapur with Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. This project proposes the four-laning of NH-544D from the existing 39.380 km (Design Chainage 37 km) to 74.450 km (Design Chainage 69 km) of Muchukota Bugga Section of NH544D on HAM under NH (O) in Andhra Pradesh. The new construction will be 32 km. The construction of the project will begin in 2022 and is due for completion in 2025. NHAI will invest approximately INR 739 crores in this widening project.
