UP Govt floats tender for construction of Maharashtra Bhavan in Ayodhya

The Uttar Pradesh Government has issued a tender for constructing Maharashtra Bhavan near the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The estimated cost of the project is 113 INR-Crore.

The Maharashtra Public Works Department (PWD) will build Maharashtra Bhavan, also known as ‘Bhakta Niwas’. Spread over 2 Acres of land parcel the upcoming project will provide accommodation for devotees from Maharashtra visiting the Ram Mandir. This mega project will feature state-of-the-art facilities, providing lodging, boarding, and other amenities to devotees at a modest price. The UP Government has allotted the plot, while the construction is expected to be completed within three years.

Meanwhile, the state cabinet had approved the purchase of a 9,420.55 SqM plot in Ayodhya in March, for 67.14 INR-Crore for the proposed Maharashtra Bhavan. This plot is located in the greenfield township of Ayodhya, Sector 8. It falls under the Land Development, Housing, and Market Scheme in Shahanwajpur Mazha. The project marks a noteworthy advancement in both spiritual and infrastructural development with its modern amenities and strategic location.
