The Uttar Pradesh Government will set up super specialty hospitals in Varanasi and at the District Women’s Hospital in Agra. The construction work is scheduled to be completed within approximately 18 months of commencement.
The 500-bed super specialty hospital in Varanasi will be built on 5.55 Acres at an estimated cost of INR 161 Crore. Meanwhile, the 150-bed unit at the District Women’s Hospital in Agra will occupy 5 Acres and cost around INR 100 Crore.

The State Planning Department will appoint Project Management Consultants (PMC) to monitor these projects. The upcoming super specialty hospital projects will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode. Meanwhile, the officials will finalize the architectural design consultancy within 75 days.
