Vishnu Saran & Company appointed as Civil Works Contractor for Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) Residential and Institutional Buildings at Kanpur.
The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) awarded the civil works contractor contract to Vishnu Saran & Company for constructing the UPMRC Residential and Institutional Buildings. Fourteen bidders including top firms such as Asian Construction Company, Baba Construction Private Limited, Globe Civil Projects Private Limited, KSM Bashir Mohammad & Sons, Quality Buildcon Private Limited, Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Limited (UPRNN), Varindera Constructions Limited (VCL), VRC Constructions (India) Private Limited, and YFC Projects Private Limited also submitted their proposals.
Vishnu Saran & Company received the contract for constructing residential, non-residential, and institutional buildings in Kanpur. They will also construct the multi-storied Officers’ Colony of UPMRC inside Kanpur Metro Depot, Kanpur. The project will cost about INR 169 crores. The order amount for this contract to appoint the civil works contractor is INR 124.23 crores.
About UPMRC Residential and Institutional Buildings, Kanpur
The proposed project envisages constructing residential, non-residential and institutional buildings at the Polytechnic College Campus, Gurudev Chauraha, GT Road, Kanpur. The proposed project also envisages constructing the multi-storied Officers’ Colony of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) inside Kanpur Metro Depot, GT Road, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Each of the 3 residential buildings has a ground and 6 upper floors. An Administration block and an Academic block are in the Polytechnic College buildings. Each of these blocks will have a ground floor and 3 upper floors. The campus also has a laboratory block having a ground floor and 3 upper floors. A Boys hostel block with three wings A, B and C will have a ground floor and 3 upper floors. A Girls hostel block will have a ground floor and 3 upper floors. The type II quarters comprise a ground floor and 3 upper floors, whereas the type III quarters will have a ground floor and 4 upper floors. The type IV quarters comprise a ground floor and 3 upper floors, and the type V quarters will have only a ground floor.
