Woodpecker Green Agri Nutrients Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Som Distilleries and Breweries, is set to invest an estimated 600 INR-Crore in a new facility in Farrukhabad. The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) allotted 40 Acres for the project, on Friday, February 28.
The Bhopal-based firm plans to build an integrated starch processing unit. The facility will produce starch powders, gluten, corn oil, ethanol, as well as CO₂. Furthermore, it will have a production capacity of 700 Tons per day for maize and 200 Kiloliters per day for molasses. This initiative will create over 1,000 jobs in the region.

Meanwhile, Woodpecker Green will source raw materials from Farrukhabad and nearby districts, boosting local farmers’ incomes. The project will also enhance industrial growth in Uttar Pradesh. Construction is set to begin in April 2025, with production expected by November 2026.
