The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has initiated work on the 2.5 Km elevated flyover connecting Vithalwadi to Palm Hotel in Kalyan. The authority has already begun geotechnical investigations to analyze the physical properties of soil and rock.
With an estimated cost of 700 INR-Crore, MMRDA has awarded the Kalyan flyover contract to a private firm. Additionally, vehicles heading to Kalyan from Ulhasnagar and Ambarnath will bypass the main city through this elevated flyover via Birla College Road. Once completed, it will reduce travel time from 40 minutes to just five.
