At a ceremony honoring the 40 years of Maruti Suzuki and Suzuki Japan’s partnership in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially laid the cornerstones for the Suzuki Group’s two new projects: the Suzuki Motor Gujarat Electric Vehicle Battery Manufacturing Facility in Hansalpur, Gujarat, and Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming vehicle manufacturing facility in Kharkhoda, Haryana. The factory would be able to produce 10 lakh vehicles annually. Over INR 11,000 crore will be invested in the project’s initial phase.
