The Tamil Nadu government has initiated the process to establish a Tidel Park in Tiruchirapalli, with an estimated cost of approximately INR 600 Crore to accommodate nearly 10,000 employees. Once completed, Tiruchirapalli, situated along the Cauvery River, will become the third city, following Chennai and Coimbatore, to have a Tidel Park.

Tidel Park Ltd, a joint venture between the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation and the Electronic Corporation of Tamil Nadu, has issued requests for proposals (RFP) to consulting firms to set up the park at Panjapur in Tiruchirapalli.

Aditya Narayan Mishra, Managing Director and CEO of CIEL HR states that the establishment of Tiruchirapalli Tidel Park will bring significant changes to the town’s IT landscape. This move is set to attract more IT companies from tier-I cities to expand their presence in Tiruchirapalli.

It offers advantages such as access to a skilled talent pool and resources at a lower cost, primarily due to the region’s lower cost of living. Additionally, this expansion is expected to create indirect job opportunities in sectors like infrastructure and real estate, benefiting the broader economy.
