SIG, a global leader in packaging solutions, has established the foundation for its inaugural aseptic carton plant in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The company intends to invest approximately INR 880 Crore in multiple phases, ultimately raising its production capacity to 4 billion packs per year. Future investments are anticipated to further boost capacity, reaching up to 10 billion packs annually.

SIG’s investment encompasses the implementation of cutting-edge production technology for printing and finishing aseptic carton packs. The company will ensure that all packages adhere to rigorous environmental, quality, and safety standards to cater to the varied requirements of food and beverage producers and consumers.
The financing for the land and buildings of the new facility will be secured through a long-term lease, with a Net Present Value of approximately INR 263 Crore. Commercial production is set to commence by the end of next year. The first construction phase is expected to create around 300 job opportunities.
