The project will incorporate the concept of mechanized first-mile connectivity in coal transportation through the integration of the principles of the ‘PM Gatishakti Master Plan‘.
It will contribute significantly to the development of first-mile rail connectivity, by facilitating the transport of coal produced from the KDH and Purnadih coal mines to the nearest railway circuit, from which it will be supplied to thermal power plants throughout the country. This will bring speed and efficiency to the dispatch of coal by eliminating transportation by road and thus minimizing diesel consumption.
