The Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik, on Thursday, December 07, laid the foundation stone for NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) in Bhubaneswar. The institute will be set up by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal Trust with an estimated investment of 300 INR crore.
The state government has allocated 40 acres of land on lease (free of cost) for the establishment of this institute at Goudakashipur. It will be registration-free for 30 years (extendable for another 30 years) and free from annual maintenance charges by the Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha (IDCO).

The Institute will reserve 30 per cent of seats for students from Odisha on Merit, as per the MoU signed between the Odisha government and the Trust.
The state CM mentioned that Odisha has made significant progress in several socio-economic parameters over the past few years and is now one of the fastest-growing economies in the country. This increased economic status has created vast opportunities for attracting talent from across the globe and from India.
