2. RCA International Cricket Stadium
Rajasthan Cricket Association earlier this year announced the construction of India’s second-largest (and world’s third-largest) cricket stadium – which will be named Anil Agarwal International Cricket Stadium. Spanning across 100 Acres of land parcel, the stadium is located in Chaunp village of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The anticipated construction cost of the project is 297 INR-Crore.
The stadium will accommodate approximately 75,000 people. It will include – 44 international level cricket pitches, two practice grounds, 4 academies, parking facilities, and other facilities like club, hotel, and gym.

3. AMC Sports Complex
Under the ‘Khelo India’ Scheme, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is developing the Naranpura Sports Complex in Naranpura, Gujrat. The project aims to provide high-end facilities in Gujarat and neighboring areas post-completion. AMC Sports Complex spans across 20.38 Acres of land parcel at the estimated cost of 590 INR-Crore.
It includes the construction of 4 blocks including – an aquatic center, a center for sports excellence, an indoor multi-sports arena, a community sports complex; along with Tennis, Basketball, and Volleyball outdoor courts, a spectators’ stand, and a Fit India zone.

4. BCD Sports Academy and International Stadium
BCD Sports Academy and International Stadium is a state-of-the-art sports facility being developed by the Building Construction Department, Bihar. The project occupies a land area of 90.4 Acres in Thera, Rajgir, Bihar. The estimated construction cost for this project is 633 INR-Crore with the construction area of 1,590,204 Sq.Ft.
The facility will accommodate 45,000 spectators and includes provision for 28 indoor and outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Swimming. It involves the construction of three hostel blocks, two staff quarter blocks, five sports blocks with three pavilions, six sports halls, an administration block, a facility area, and the Director’s bungalow.

Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation Limited has undertaken the construction of a multipurpose Sports facility in Bhubaneshwar. It will serve as an Entertainment and recreational sports Infrastructure.
The estimated cost of the project is 750 INR-Crore. It includes the construction of a multipurpose indoor stadium accommodating 25,000 spectators and sports academies for Cycling, Cricket, Weightlifting, Shooting, Archery, and Fencing, respectively. Furthermore, the facility will also have Judo, Tennis, Table-tennis, and Kho-kho academies and a National center for Yogasana.
Sikka Associates Architects is the Project Management Consultant for this project. It is estimated to be completed by 2025.

6. PWD Delhi Sports University
The Public Works Department (PWD) of Delhi has proposed the development of Delhi Sports University in the village of Ghevra in North West Delhi. The sports university is proposed on 79.4 Acres of land parcel. The estimated construction cost is 1000 INR-Crore with the construction area of 2,699,029 SqFt. The scope of work includes – university functional blocks, university residential blocks, educational infrastructure, sports facilities with outdoor and indoor sports arena, principal residence and residential block for other staff.

7. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Redevelopment
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has proposed the redevelopment of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JNS) in New Delhi. The stadium will undergo upgradation on a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) basis.
The stadium spreads across 95.7 Acres of land parcel with the estimated construction cost of 3000 INR-Crore. The stadium accommodates approximately 77,000 spectators. The redevelopment includes – an Indoor weightlifting auditorium, three football fields, two athletic tracks, two badminton halls, an archery practice area with other sporting facilities.
