Adani Group, at the World Economic Forum 2024 in Davos, on Wednesday, January 17, announced an estimated investment of INR 62,400 Crore over the next 10 years to set up data centers and renewable energy projects in Maharashtra and Telangana. The multinational conglomerate will provide infrastructure aimed at booming digital services demand in the country.
Adani Enterprises signed an MoU (memorandum of Understanding) with the Maharashtra Government for developing a 1GW (gigawatt) hyperscale data infrastructure worth an estimated INR 50,000 Crore. The project will be powered by renewable energy and will be set up in either Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, or Pune. It is anticipated to enhance the green energy infrastructure in the state.

The conglomerate also signed four MoUs with the Telangana government investing an estimated INR 12,400 Crore towards various projects. These include:
- Setting up a 100 MW data center in the state powered by renewable energy with an estimated investment of INR 5,000 Crore over the next 5-7 years.
- Setting up two pump storage projects with an approximate investment of INR 5,000 Crore at Koyabestagudem (850MW capacity) and Nacharam (500 MW capacity).
- Ambuja Cements will invest approximately INR 1,400 Crore towards developing a 6 MTPA (Metric Tonne Per Annum) cement plant over an anticipated 70 Acres of land parcel in the coming 5 years.
- Adani Defence Systems and Technologies to invest nearly INR 1,000 Crore towards research, development, design, manufacturing, and integration of counter-drone and missile systems at the Adani Aerospace Park over the next 10 years.
Furthermore, the company pledged to invest USD 24 Billion over the coming five years in renewable energy during the Gujarat Global Summit 2024, held between January 10-12.
