Ashok Leyland, a Hinduja Group flagship, on Tuesday, February 20, held the groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming integrated commercial vehicle plant at Kanpur Road in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The company will invest an estimated INR 1,000 Crore in developing this facility over the next few years.
The greenfield manufacturing facility will sprawl across an anticipated 70 Acres of land parcel and will focus on producing electric buses along with other vehicles powered by alternate fuels. This will be the most modern and green factory worldwide and will have a generation capacity of producing 2500 vehicles per year.

The upcoming facility will not only cater to the rising demand for electric vehicles but also play a pivotal role in the holistic development of the region.
