Suzlon bags 30 MW Wind Power project from EDF Renewables

Suzlon, a renewables solutions provider, on Thursday, February 29, announced that it has bagged a new 30MW Wind Power Project from EDF Renewables. The company will execute the project on a full spectrum of supply, supervision, and commissioning, followed by post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.

Suzlon will install 10 units of their Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with an HLT (Hybrid Lattice Tubular) Tower and a rated capacity of 3MW each. The project will come up in Gujarat and is expected to contribute to the expansion of EDF’s clean energy portfolio in India.

The energy generated through this project will be supplied to GUVNL (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd), which will supply electricity to 24,000 households. It is anticipated to reduce nearly 97,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
