Coal India announces INR 117 Crore tender for Ground-Mounted Solar Plant in Chandrapur

The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India, recently floated a tender for a solar project in Maharashtra. The company issued an empanelment tender for a grid-connected ground-mounted solar project in the Majri Area of Chandrapur, Maharashtra.

The scope of work involves the Design, Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of the solar power plant. It will have a capacity of 23 MW (AC) and a minimum DC overload capacity of 40%. The project’s estimated cost is INR 117.16 Crore over a contract period of 3922 days.

The deadline for bid submission is July 3, 2024, with opening scheduled for the next day. The successful bidder is expected to commence work within 30 days after receiving the letter of acceptance. This initiative aims to boost solar energy adoption as well as contribute to sustainable power generation in Chandrapur.
