YEIDA hands over 230 Acres for Film City, in Greater Noida

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has handed over an anticipated 230 Acres of land parcel to Bayview Bhutani Film City Pvt Ltd, led by filmmaker Boney Kapoor. The project’s estimated cost is 1,510 INR-Crore. It is slated for completion within 8 years. 

On January 30, 2025, Yeida approved the layout for this expansive project, which will cover approximately 1,000 Acres. The first phase will be built on 230 Acres, out of which 75 Acres will be dedicated to commercial development, and the rest will cater to the film industry. Additionally, this phase will introduce world-class studios, luxury hotels, and a top-tier film institute. The Film City will come up in Sector 21, YEIDA, along the Yamuna Expressway and around 4 Km from the international airport.

Furthermore, the project will include air-conditioned indoor shooting spaces, allowing uninterrupted filming throughout the year. The new studio floors, ranging from 40,00060,000 SqFt, will accommodate massive sets and diverse backdrops. Moreover, this project will not only generate 500,000 direct and indirect jobs but also fuel the local economy. As the film city takes shape, it will transform Greater Noida into a thriving hub for cinema and creativity.
