G R Infraprojects has emerged as the selected bidder for the Agra-Gwalior highway project. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, tendered this contract.
The project, valued at an estimated 4,262.78 INR-Crore, is awarded under the Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) toll basis. Section one includes constructing a six-lane, access-controlled greenfield highway that will seamlessly link Deori village in Agra to Susera village in Gwalior. Additionally, it will pass through Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, strengthening connectivity across states.

Section two includes overlaying/strengthening and upgrading safety features on the Agra-Gwalior highway segment of NH-44. Furthermore, the project is slated for completion within 910 days from the appointed date. With this development, the Agra-Gwalior highway will see a major transformation, ensuring smoother travel, improved safety, and stronger economic ties between regions.
