Pranav Adani, director of Adani Group, announced on Friday, December 08, that the company will invest nearly 2,500 INR Crore in Uttarakhand for various projects in sectors like cement, power, and infrastructure. The group plans to expand its capacity of cement plants and install smart electricity meters while exploring the possibilities to develop an aerocity and knowledge city in the state.
During the Global Investors Summit 2023, Uttarakhand, Pranav Adani announced the company’s investments in the following projects:
In the cement sector-
- An estimated investment of 1,700 INR Crore to expand Ambuja Cement‘s existing capacity in Uttarakhand
- An estimated investment of 300 INR Crore to expand its Roorkee Plant‘s existing capacity from 1.2 MTPA (Million Tonne per Annum) to 3 MTPA by the end of 2024.
- A projected investment of 1,400 INR Crore for setting up a grinding unit with a capacity of 4 MTPA.

The company will invest approximately 800 INR Crore in smart meters in the Kumaon region for the Uttarakhand Power Corporation, aligning with the Indian Government‘s plan to replace conventional electric meters with smart prepaid meters.
Adani Group also plans to acquire a 1,000-acre land parcel in Pant Nagar with possibilities to develop infrastructure for aerocity, logistics warehousing, a knowledge park, and an inland container depot.
