Adani Group, on Friday, March 1, announced its plans to invest an estimated INR 75,000 Crore in Madhya Pradesh towards several projects, including power plants, Mahakaal Expressway, cement grinding units, etc. The company plans to double its investments in the state and increase its footprint, said Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Ltd.
These investments entail:
- Increasing the power generation capacity of Adani’s Mahan Energen Plant in Singrauli from the current 1,200 MW to 4,400 MW at an estimated investment of INR 30,000 Crore.
- Setting up a 3,410 MW capacity pumped storage project worth an estimated INR 28,000 Crore.
- Construction of the Mahakaal Expressway with an estimated investment of INR 5,000 Crore connecting Ujjain with Bhopal through Indore.
- INR 5,000 Crore towards setting up a 4MTPA (Million Tonnes Per Annum) clinker unit in Chorgadi and two cement grinding units in Dewas and Bhopal with a combined capacity of 8MTPA.
- An investment of INR 4,600 Crore towards the expansion of the company’s food processing, logistics, agri-logistics, and defence manufacturing footprint in the state.
- An investment of INR 2,100 Crore reserved to improve fuel distribution businesses including city gas, LNG, EV (Electronic Vehicles), and biofuels.

These projects will together generate nearly 15,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. Adani Group has so far invested approximately INR 18,000 Crore in Madhya Pradesh, creating 11,000 employments.
