Toy manufacturers from around the world will set up production units for toys in Aequs Group’s special economic zone (SEZ) in Koppal in north Karnataka. This SEZ will be home to companies that manufacture electronic and mechanical toys, packing materials, and components. Toy makers like GFT Group, Playgro, and Hasbro, as well as packaging firms like Sterling, will set up their manufacturing facilities in Koppal. The toys manufactured at the Koppal SEZ will be available in the domestic market ahead of Diwali and before Christmas in the international markets in 2022.
Aequs Toy Cluster by Aequs Group
The Aequs Toy Cluster construction works began in the year 2021 with an expected completion date in 2025. This SEZ will extend across an area of over 1,00,000 sq. ft. and will be tantamount to a construction cost of INR 1,540 crores. The industrial park is in the Koppal district of north Karnataka at latitude 15.395083 (15° 23′ 42.2988″ N) and longitude 76.032389 (76° 1′ 56.6004″ E). The construction work for 4 blocks is complete, and they will develop the upcoming production units in a phased manner.
