Ahluwalia Contracts secured an order for development of Lal Bahadur International Airport, Varanasi, worth INR 893.48 Crore. This order includes constructing a new terminal building and allied works on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis.
Ahluwalia expects to complete the upcoming Varanasi Airport project within 36 months of commencement, promising to transform the facility. Spread across 75,220 SqM, the project will boast 8 aerobridges, 72 check-in counters, 14 security check counters, and 6 baggage claim belts. The new airport will boast an ultimate design capacity of handling 6 Million passengers annually, which can accommodate 5000 peak-hour passengers.

Additionally, Ahluwalia Contracts announced that it won another order from the Airports Authority of India for the construction of a new terminal, allied structures, and external development on an EPC model at Darbhanga Airport, Bihar. The order is expected to be executed within 24 months and is worth INR 572 Crore.
