The Union government has preliminarily approved the revival of the Amaravati Outer Ring Road Project (ORR), aiming to boost regional connectivity and economic growth in Andhra Pradesh.
The central government will cover the entire construction cost, including land acquisition, estimated at nearly INR 25,000 Crore. The Amaravati ORR will span approximately 189 Km under the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) in Krishna and Guntur districts. It will be constructed as a six-lane access-controlled expressway with service roads on both sides, extending to a total width of 150 Meters.

Additionally, the government has approved other road projects to enhance connectivity between Amaravati and other regions. These projects include the Vijayawada East bypass road and a 60-70 km six-lane greenfield expressway designed to improve connectivity between Amaravati and Hyderabad.
