Ambuja Cements to invest INR 1,600 Crore for grinding unit in Bihar

On Saturday, August 3, Ambuja Cements announced its plans to establish a 6 MTPA capacity Warisaliganj Cement Grinding Unit in Bihar. With an estimated investment of INR 1,600 Crore, this marks the company’s first venture in the state.

Ambuja Cements will implement the project in three phases. The first phase, with a capacity of 2.4 MTPA, involves an estimated investment of INR 1,100 Crore. The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) allotted an anticipated 67.9 Acres for the cement unit in Bihar, and Ambuja Cements confirmed obtaining environmental clearance. The unit will likely become operational by December 2025.

Moreover, BIADA allocated 26.6 Acres to the company in Mahbal, Motipur, Muzaffarpur, for another cement unit. Environmental clearance is in process, and construction will commence shortly. This project by Ambuja Cement is poised to make a significant mark in the industrial landscape of Bihar.
