On Tuesday, 14 January, Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for Gujarat’s largest Police colony. This ambitious residential complex in Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad will be designed to accommodate 920 police personnel families. The project is estimated to cost 242 INR-Crore.

Spread across a sprawling 23,697 SqM, the project will feature 18 towers, each soaring 13 floors high. The Gujarat State Police Housing Corporation is spearheading this venture, set to be completed within 27 months. Each unit will offer a well-planned 2-BHK layout with a carpet area of 55 SqM, ensuring a comfortable living experience for the residents. A distinctive feature of this Police Line is the inclusion of the Ghatlodia police station, which will occupy two floors in one of the towers.

Additionally, the Police colony will include convenient retail shops, making it a self-sufficient community.
