Battery recycling firm to invest INR 100 crore to set up Nickel plant in Maharashtra

RecycleKaro, a lithium-ion battery recycling company based in Mumbai, has plans to invest INR 100 Crore in the establishment of a nickel plant in Maharashtra. This plant, with an annual metal production capacity of 1,200 tonnes, will be situated on a 17-acre plot in the Palghar district. 

The facility will encompass a production plant capable of generating nickel from discarded lithium-ion batteries and nickel hydroxide. The plant will commence production by the end of 2023.

Concurrently with the defined new unit volumes, the facility will generate numerous employment opportunities. These opportunities will span across the primary plant, back-office operations, and beyond.
