The Union Cabinet has approved the Patna-Sasaram Corridor, a four-lane access-controlled highway, at an estimated cost of 3,712.40 INR-Crore. Authorities will develop the project under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). To ease heavy congestion, they will construct a greenfield corridor and upgrade 10.6 Km of the existing brownfield highway.
The Patna-Sasaram Corridor will integrate seamlessly with major transport routes, including NH-19, NH-319, NH-922, NH-131G, and NH-120. As a result, it will offer smooth connectivity to Aurangabad, Kaimur, and Patna. Additionally, the corridor will link two airports—Patna’s Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport and the upcoming Bihta Airport—ensuring greater accessibility for travelers.

Furthermore, it will enhance access to the Patna Inland Water Terminal, strengthening regional trade and transport. By linking with the Patna Ring Road, it will accelerate the movement of passengers and goods, fostering economic activity.
