NHLML (National Highways Logistics Management Ltd), a subsidiary of NHAI (National Highway Authority of India), has awarded the contract for the development of a Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) to Deltabulk Shipping. Deltabulk shipping is the Indian unit of the London-based Delta Corp and won the contract by placing the highest minimum guaranteed revenue of INR 365.89 Crores.
The facility will be located in the Sindi village of Wardha district, Nagpur, and will develop over approximately 150.30 acres of land parcel. The development will commence in a phased manner, where Phase I will be developed over 76.34 acres, Phase II will occupy 36.31 acres, and Phase III will span 37.76 acres.

The integrated facility of MMLP will be responsible for all activities related to logistics and distribution of goods for national and international transit across multiple modes of transport. It will include inter-modal facilities for freight handling, cold storage, warehouses, and customs-bonded areas. It aims to reduce inventory handling and transportation costs and eliminate logistics inefficiencies.
The government had invited bids for the multi-modal logistics park in Nagpur under a public-private partnership (PPP) on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) basis in June 2023. Deltabulk Shipping will oversee the operation and maintenance of the logistics park for 45 years, including a two-year construction phase.
