The Government of Goa (GoG) envisages developing an International Convention Centre at Dona Paula, Panaji, Goa.
Overview of the Project:
Under this project, the Government of Goa (GoG) will develop a State-of-the-Art International Convention Centre, featuring a main convention hall, exhibition hall, 4-screen multiplex, convention hotel, and other complementary facilities. About 24.29 acres of land located at Dona Paula, Goa has been earmarked for the project.
To ensure efficient execution and operation, the Government plans to develop the project through a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) mode under a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) model, with a concession period of 60 years. The estimated construction cost of the project is INR 540 Crores.
M/s. New Consolidated Construction Co Limited (Jasdanwalla Group), Maiwir Engineering Private Limited, and Octmec Consultants LLP have been selected as the Private developers and they will operate through their joint venture. Knight Frank (India) Private Limited will serve as the Project Management Consultant. The construction of the project is scheduled to commence after three months from now.
