DLF to invest INR 2,200 Crore to build Shopping Mall in Gurugram

DLF, a prominent real estate developer, is constructing a sprawling shopping mall named the ‘Mall of India‘, in Gurugram. This upcoming mall will span an anticipated 26-27 lakh-SqFt and is estimated to cost INR 2,200 Crore.

DLF is also constructing a premium mall in Goa, spanning approximately 6 lakh-SqFt. Furthermore, they are developing high-street shopping centers near their housing projects catering to the tenants. These centers are already under construction at DLF Phase 5, Gurugram, and Moti Nagar, Delhi and are expected to be operational within 18 months, said Sriram Khattar, Vice Chairman and MD (Rental Business) of DLF.

DLF already boasts a retail footprint of around 42 lakh-SqFtt, comprising nine properties, including malls and shopping centers, primarily across the Delhi-NCR region. Of this, approximately 3.4 lakh-SqFt falls under DLF Ltd, while the remaining is managed by DLF Cyber City Developers Ltd (DCCDL) – a joint venture between DLF and the Singapore sovereign wealth fund, GIC.
