DMRC begins land acquisition for two new corridors of Delhi Metro Phase 4

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has started the process of securing statutory clearances for the construction of two newly approved corridors. These corridors form part of the Delhi Metro’s ambitious Phase 4 expansion. These corridors are extensions of the existing Golden and Green Lines.

Inderlok to Indraprastha Corridor: This corridor of the Delhi Metro Phase 4 will be 12.4 km long and comprise 10 stations. These interchange stations will be located at Inderlok, Nabi Karim, New Delhi, Delhi Gate, and Indraprastha.

Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block Corridor: This 8.4 km-long corridor of The Delhi Metro will feature 8 interchange stations. These would be developed at Lajpat Nagar, Chirag Dilli, and Saket G Block.

These new routes of Phase 4 of the Delhi Metro are expected to be operational by 2028. These are poised to further enhance connectivity across Delhi. Additionally, the expansion will include 11 additional interchange stations, bringing the total count to 48.
