G R Infraprojects Ltd has secured the contract for Phase 2 of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project (NMRP), in Maharashtra worth an estimated 904 INR-Crore. The company announced it has emerged as the lowest bidder for the proposed metro project, on Monday, September 23.
The project, awarded by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, involves the design and construction of a 17.62 Km elevated metro viaduct. Additionally, this includes railway spans of 79 M and 100 M in length. The project also includes the design and construction of a 6-lane double-decker portion with a vehicular underpass spanning 1.14 Km. This would be developed in reach-1A of NMRP Phase 2.

The project will be developed in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode and is expected to be completed within 30 months of commencement. The financial bid opening took place on Monday, September 23. Once completed, the NMRP will significantly enhance public transportation and improve connectivity in Nagpur.
