Gadkari lays the foundation stone for three NH projects worth INR 2,900 Cr in AP

The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways announced that on Thursday, July 13, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for three national highway projects in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. These projects have a combined length of 87 kilometers and a total cost of INR 2,900 Crore.

According to the Ministry, the first project, the Naidupate-Turpu Kanupur Section of NH-71, spans 35 km and requires an investment of INR 1,399 Crore. The second project, valued at INR 909 Crore, is the Chillakuru cross-Krishnapatnam Port South Gate Section via Turpu Kanupur on NH-516W, covering a distance of 36 km.

The third project, the Thamminapatnam-Narikellapalle Section, involves extending the dedicated port road from Eupuru to Krishnapatnam Port on NH-516W and NH-67. This project is 16 km long and valued at INR 610 Crore

Gadkari emphasized that these initiatives have the objective of ensuring smooth and reliable connectivity to Krishnapatnam Port, facilitating quicker access to national master plan nodes, industrial nodes, and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Nellore.
