The Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 12 National Highway projects in Kerala, involving an investment exceeding INR 1,464 Crore. These projects, spanning a total length of 105 km, are expected to create significant employment opportunities, contributing to socio-economic growth in Kerala both directly and indirectly.
The primary goal of these initiatives is to improve seamless connectivity between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, facilitating smooth and hassle-free transportation. This endeavor holds the potential to reduce overall transportation costs, and a concerted effort to eliminate black spots on National Highways is anticipated to substantially decrease road accidents.
