Godrej Agrovet Ltd. has planned to establish an edible oil refining plant in Andhra Pradesh, for which it intends to invest INR 100 crore.
During the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023, the company inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government. As part of the MoU, the company’s oil palm business will invest approximately INR 100 crore in establishing the edible oil refinery and solvent extraction plant.
Godrej Agrovet’s oil palm business already has a 45,000-hectare oil palm plantation area in Andhra Pradesh. The proposed facility will have a projected refining capacity of 400 tonnes per day. It will be set up in Seethanagaram in Eluru District of Andhra Pradesh.
