On Wednesday, October 18, the Gujarat government signed an agreement with the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) to establish a space manufacturing cluster in Sanand, located in the Ahmedabad district.
In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), IN-SPACe will offer incentives and technical guidance to space technology equipment manufacturing units and startups. Additionally, IN-SPACe will establish a technical support and incubation center at its headquarters for this purpose.

The government will provide land and infrastructure suitable for the space and allied sectors to operate within the cluster.
IN-SPACe, headquartered in Ahmedabad, is an autonomous agency of the Department of Space (DOS) dedicated to promoting a wide range of space activities for non-governmental entities, including the construction of launch vehicles and satellites, as well as the provision of space-based services, and more.
