The Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) announced plans to construct the state’s first energy-efficient modern business complex. Estimated to cost around INR 100 Crore, the complex will come up in Vikasnagar, Shimla.
The HIMUDA business complex will offer modern amenities, including offices, retail chains, a multipurpose hall, a banquet hall, and a food court, among other facilities. To minimize energy consumption, the project will incorporate advanced technologies. It is expected to be completed within two years.

The design will be finalized within three months, while the construction will begin later this year. Additionally, HIMUDA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA). This collaboration will ensure the use of cutting-edge architectural practices to create a sustainable and energy-efficient building. Moreover, the entire power supply will come from a solar energy system, aligning with the government’s green energy initiatives.
