Hyundai Motor plans 1,500 INR-Crore expansion at Tamil Nadu facility

Hyundai Motor India has submitted a Pre-Feasibility Report (PFR) to revamp and modernize its Tamil Nadu facility. This ambitious project has an estimated investment of 1,500 INR-Crore. It aims to expand operations at Irungattukottai.

The plant’s size will increase from 5.40 Lakh-SqM to 7.21 Lakh-SqM, adding another 1.81 Lakh-SqM of land to the site. The expansion will also generate 155 new jobs, enhancing local employment opportunities.

Hyundai Motor India expects construction of its Tamil Nadu plant to begin soon after receiving the necessary approvals. With domestic and international demand for passenger cars on the rise, this facility upgrade will help meet market needs efficiently.
