The Andhra Pradesh State Government is planning to build a startup tower in the IT SEZ (Special Economic Zone) at Madhurawada, covering an area of 3 lakh SqFt, following the successful Global Investors Summit.
The proposed tower, similar to O-Hub in Bhubaneswar and T-Hub in Hyderabad, will be constructed on one of the IT hills spanning over five acres. Additionally, the industries department will also function from the same tower.
The tower is expected to house about 300 startups, with around 400 IT companies in Andhra Pradesh, including 250 in Vizag, 70 to 80 in Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Guntur, and Vijayawada, and approximately 30 to 40 in Tirupati. Andhra Pradesh’s IT exports are currently around 6000 per year.
