IHG Hotels & Resorts to expand into Northeast India with Holiday Inn signing

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a management agreement with Yuvaan Developers Private Ltd for setting up a new hospitality project branded ‘Holiday Inn’ in Guwahati, North-East India. The upcoming facility located along Azara Road in Guwahati is poised to cater to the diverse needs of various guests visiting the city.

The upcoming Holiday Inn Guwahati is scheduled to be operational by January 2028 and will comprise 150 modern and well-appointed guest rooms. The project will offer compelling amenities such as three dining options including all-day dining, a bar, and a lobby lounge, four meeting rooms, a banquet hall, a dedicated fitness center, a pool, along with significant amenities catering to social gatherings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) opportunities.

The expansion of IHG in the northeast region of the country aligns with the company’s vision to create exceptional hospitality experiences in strategic locations across India filling the need gap for quality branded accommodation.
