Bengaluru will soon witness the establishment of India’s first public hospital for organ transplantation, as announced by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the presentation of the state Budget for 2023-24 in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly

The hospital will be set up at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) with an investment of INR 146 crore. The government aims to address the increasing demand for organ transplantation and ensure the highest standards of medical ethics and patient care through this ambitious project. 

This proposed hospital will offer world-class transplantation services, promoting medical advancements and research.
