Preparations have gathered full momentum to develop India’s largest fruit market worth an estimated 1,901.17 INR-Crore at Koheda, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, Telangana. The marketing department has already submitted the DPR, and this project will sprawl across an anticipated 199.12 Acres. They now await final approval from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Once the government gives the nod, construction will begin without delay.
The fruit market will feature modern, world-class infrastructure and meet projected demands up to 2047.
Key land allotment for the project:
- 48.71 Acres for major fruit trading infrastructure.
- 56.05 Acres for internal roads.
- 17.27 Acres will support toll gates, drainage, and rural roads.
- 16.59 Acres will cater to parking facilities.
- 10.98 Acres will host related products like flowers, dairy, dried fruits, fish, poultry, meat, and frozen or packaged foods.
- 9.50 Acres will house cold storage units to preserve freshness.

Furthermore, the proposed fruit market in Hyderabad will include a retail zone, storage spaces, processing units, administrative offices, and laboratories. It will also provide rest houses, fire and police stations, a health center, a shopping complex, solid waste management systems, and a power substation.
Additionally, the 100-foot-tall Tower of Excellence will span approximately 19,375 SqFt and become the highlight of India’s largest fruit market. It will feature four floors for business establishments, six high-speed elevators, and a helipad. Officials plan to lease the tower spaces to trade and export organisations at the state, national, and global level. They have earmarked an estimated 350 INR-Crore for land acquisition and 1,694.74 INR-Crore for construction and IT infrastructure.
