On 28 March, Japan committed INR 7,084.5 crore to India for funding three infrastructure projects, including the Patna Metro Rail Construction Project, Project for Forest and Biodiversity Conservation in West Bengal, and Rajasthan Water Sector Livelihood Improvement Project.
The Patna Metro Rail Construction Project, worth about INR 5,509 crore, the Project for Forest and Biodiversity Conservation for Climate Change Response in West Bengal, worth about INR 520 crore, and the Rajasthan Water Sector Livelihood Improvement Project, worth about INR 1,055.53 crore, will all be funded by Japan.
