Jewar Greenfield International Airport proposed in Uttar Pradesh

Directorate of Civil Aviation Uttar Pradesh Government, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) and Zurich Airport International AG has undertaken the development of a new Greenfield International Airport at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh under a Public-Private venture. The Airport will be developed in four phases and serve both tourism and business markets in India, alongside increasing connectivity within the country.

Project Specifications:

From an aeronautical viewpoint, the airport is proposed on an expanse of 3296.38 acres with a built-up area of 5,381,955 sq.ft. The four phases of construction will ensure a systematic and detailed output. An area of 1334 hectares has been earmarked for the development of the airport in Phase I. It shall include a terminal building with peak 2750 passenger capacity, a management building, a security staff building and two runways. Phase II will include another terminal building for the peak of additional 2750 passenger capacity. Phase 3 will witness the expansion of the terminal building to accommodate additional 3500 passengers. Phase 4 includes the expansion of the terminal building, accommodating 3000 additional passengers.
