Kundan Green Energy has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Uttarakhand Government for the addition of 80 MW of hydropower capacity through greenfield projects worth INR 1,000 crore. The MoU was signed in the presence of the state’s CM, Pushkar Singh Dhami and the Principal Secretary (Power).
The proposed projects are anticipated to be completed within the next 4-5 years. The initiative aims to significantly bolster the state’s power generation, as well as create 500 direct and 2000 indirect job opportunities.

Apurve Goel, Director of Kundan Green Energy, mentioned that the company is committed to the national agenda of optimising renewable energy in India. The state of Uttarakhand has vast untapped potential in hydropower, which Kundan Green Energy is working to develop.
