On Wednesday, January 3, Kundan Green Energy announced the receipt of a mandate from the Government of Sikkim to establish two run-of-the-river hydropower projects at Upper Myong Chu and Lower Myong Chu, investing INR 120 Crore and INR 80 Crore, respectively.
The Upper Myong Chu plant will produce 12 MW of electricity, and the Lower Myong Chu facility will generate 6 MW, elevating Kundan Green Energy’s hydropower generation in Sikkim to over 50 MW.

In Sikkim, the company operates four projects—Lower Lagyap, Meyong Chu, Kalex Khola, and Rabum Chu—with a combined capacity of 35 MW.
