Lulu Group, a retail giant based in the UAE, has announced that it will invest INR 3,500 Crore in Telangana over the next five years. This investment will cover various sectors including food processing, retail, food sourcing, and logistics.

The state of Telangana is experiencing several revolutions in agriculture, fisheries, meat, dairy, and oil production due to the Kaleshwaram project. To support these revolutions, the state has decided to establish special food processing zones on approximately 10,000 Acres of land.

In August, Lulu Mall, previously known as Manjeera Mall, will be launched. The mall has received an investment of INR 300 Crore and aims to provide an international shopping experience. Spanning over 5 Lakh SqFt, Lulu Mall will feature a Hypermarket, more than 75 brands, a five-screen cinema with a seating capacity of 1,400, a multi-cuisine food court, and a children’s entertainment center. The project is expected to create job opportunities for over 2,000 personnel.

Furthermore, Lulu Group plans to establish a modern export-oriented meat processing unit with an investment of INR 200 Crore at Chengicherla. This facility, which is projected to commence operations within the next 18 months, will have a production capacity of 60 tonnes per day and create job opportunities for more than 2,500 personnel.

The group also intends to build a Destination Mall in Hyderabad with an investment of INR 2,000 Crore. The location for this mall will be finalized shortly after considering three potential sites. Additionally, mini-malls will be constructed on the outskirts of major cities and towns in Telangana, with an investment of INR 1,000 Crore.
