Maersk to set up INR 113 Cr Cold chain Facility in Mehsana

AP Moller-Maersk, the Danish integrated logistics major, is setting up its new cold chain facility in Mehsana, Gujarat, worth an estimated investment of INR 113 Crore. An official ground-breaking ceremony was held on Thursday, January 18, for the project.

The upcoming facility will be developed over an anticipated 2.6 Lakh SqFt of land parcel for the Gujarat-based frozen potato product manufacturer, HyFun Foods. It will provide temperature-controlled storage solutions for perishable and frozen processed food items. The facility will be equipped with the highest standards of temperature compliance and modern technology with a customized racking system to suit customer requirements and ensure operational accuracy.

HyFun recently signed MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Gujarat Government at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, 2024 (VGGS), worth a total estimated investment of INR 1100 Crore towards expanding the company’s frozen potato product manufacturing capacity to 5 Lakh Metric Tonnes.
