Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automaker, has announced an investment of 500 INR-crore to strengthen its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in Tamil Nadu, focusing on the construction of EV facilities.
The company has established an advanced EV battery test lab at Mahindra Research Valley, investing 210 INR-crore, to test EV batteries’ suitability under safety-critical conditions.
Additionally, Mahindra & Mahindra is setting up an EV crash test unit at Mahindra SUV Proving Track in Cheyyar, with an investment of 290 INR-crore. This facility will cater to testing electric SUVs based on necessary safety norms.
